Test
that it’s working
Cuppa only counts as working when a real missed call has been caught and texted back. Testing takes about two minutes and you can run it any time - after setup, after changing phones or SIMs, or after a quiet patch.
Run the test
Text test my setup in your Cuppa chat. Then, from a different mobile - a mate’s or a work one, any mobile except the one the divert is on (it has to be a mobile so it can get the text-back): ring your own number - the one customers ring - and let it ring out. Don’t answer it. The divert passes the call to Cuppa, the caller (you, on the second phone) gets the text-back, and Cuppa confirms in your chat the moment it catches it.
What a pass looks like
Two things happen: the second phone gets the text-back within seconds, and your Cuppa chat confirms the catch. If you then reply to the text-back like a customer would, you’ll see exactly what your customers see - and the enquiry card lands in your chat.
If nothing happens
The divert has usually dropped (a SIM swap, a network update or a new phone can do it). Re-run the divert steps for your network - see the guides - then test again.
Do it from your Cuppa chat
