Pause,
resume and holidays
Off on holiday, or just don’t want new enquiries this week? Pause, and Cuppa stops asking callers about the job. Anyone who rings hears the engaged tone, like a busy line - nothing is said, no text goes out. Cuppa still logs who rang, so you get the list when you’re back. Your subscription keeps running.
Pause
Text pause to stop text-backs until you say otherwise, or pause until Tuesday (any day works) and Cuppa switches itself back on that morning.
Resume
Text resume and text-backs start again from that moment. If you set a pause-until date, Cuppa resumes on its own - you don’t need to remember.
What your callers get while you’re paused
Callers get the engaged tone, like a busy line - no message, no text. Nothing tells them you’re away, and some will simply try again later.
Before a long break
Pausing doesn’t touch your divert, so your calls still come to Cuppa, and Cuppa logs them before the engaged tone. They do not go to your voicemail - voicemail only picks up when nothing else answers first, and while the divert is on, calls still come to Cuppa. If you’d rather your phone behaved exactly as it does without Cuppa, dial ##002# to cancel all diverts before you go, then re-add them when you’re back (your network’s guide has the steps - see Guides).
Do it from your Cuppa chat
