Set up
your divert: O2
Cuppa works by conditional divert: when you don’t answer (or you’re already on a call), the call passes to your Cuppa number and the caller gets a text-back in seconds. Your phone still rings first, exactly as it does today. Setting it up is three short codes - or a settings page on some networks. This page covers O2 and the networks that run on it: giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Sky Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
Steps for:
1. Find your Cuppa number
It’s in your Cuppa chat (the number we gave you when setup finished). Not sure? Text status and it’s at the top.
2. Divert the calls you don’t answer
Open your phone’s dialler, paste this in and press call. Replace CUPPANUMBER with your Cuppa number:
**61*CUPPANUMBER#You should see a confirmation that forwarding is on.
3. Divert calls when you’re already on the phone
**67*CUPPANUMBER#4. Divert calls when your phone is off or has no signal
**62*CUPPANUMBER#That’s it. Missed calls, busy calls and calls while your phone is off now come to Cuppa; your phone still rings first.
Switching it off
To cancel every divert on your line, dial:
##002#Your voicemail then takes over again, exactly as before Cuppa.
Do it from your Cuppa chat
Once the codes are in, prove the whole chain works - ring your own number from a different mobile and let it ring out, or just text:
